East Texas Automotive Enthusiasts Forums (texas-racing.com), takes your privacy seriously. At no time will any member information ever be passed or sold on to another party except where necessary to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.

This privacy policy relates solely to the Texas-Racing.com web site and forums. It does not cover any other site you may find links to, or which are used by Texas-Racing.com to provide specific services.
Children on this site

Logged Activity
Whenever you request a page through your browser data such as your IP address, browser and version, OS, date and time and the site from which you came are stored in a log file for statistical analysis. This information is never passed on or used in any other way.
When posting in our forums, your current IP address is recorded against your post and is viewable by the administration team. Certain actions within the forums, such as editing and deleting posts are also recorded in a Moderators log file which can be viewed by the admin. This records your user name, IP address, a brief description of the action and the time it happened. This is a standard security practice amongst many forum and community web sites and is only ever used at Texas-Racing.com to investigate suspicious accounts and activities within the forums.
Passwords
Passwords are encrypted in the site database. They cannot be retrieved by anyone. It is your responsibility to keep your password safe. If you forget your password you can request a new one to be sent to you.

Texas-Racing.com requires that you maintain a valid email address in your profile at all times for the purpose of validating and distinguishing active and dead accounts. Your email address is not visible in your profile and at no time will we ever sell or pass on your email address to any third party.
From time to time administrators may wish to send out email notices. You may opt out of these notices via the user control panel at any time, however in the case of important “service” messages such as system updates or account validation messages, the admin may choose to override this option.

As we can never convey a philosophy through a few rules, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to edit or delete posts and/or to revoke Membership.

Unfortunately, most people have never read the first amendment and fewer still understand how it applies to our rights.
